We use a number of strategies to share information within our school and with the broader community.

Our most important avenue for sharing information with parents and carers is the Konnective App. 

Konnective App

Konnective is a mobile app solution that allows the school to communicate with parents. We use this app to send our​ newsletter, event information, class newsletters and reminders. Sometimes this information is urgent, so it is essential to ensure you download and install the app correctly.

Once you have downloaded the app, you will need to select "Add Business" in the main menu, then search for Cannon Hill State School to connect to our feeds. Then, select "Manage Feeds" and subscribe to our General Updates, as well as the Year Level feeds relevant to your family.

​If you choose, you can receive messages via email by registering on the Konnective Website.

Other Communication Streams

This website is under constant review, so if you have any questions about our school, please check to see if we have published the information here. If there is anything you'd like more information on, you're welcome to contact the office and let us know.

Some year group Parent Representatives have set up Facebook Groups to help parents and carers keep up with news relevant to the class. These groups are not formally affiliated with the school and we do not control their​ content. We request that everyone participating in such groups maintain a respectful and safe communication environment and abide by a code of conduct that ensures the privacy and safety of students.

Parents and Carers are also welcome to make an appointment with teachers or school administrative staff if they wish to discuss something. Please note that we conduct Three Way Meetings for each student each semester, which allows parents, teachers and students to meet, view the student's work, and discuss the student's learning journey. We'll let you know about these via the fortnightly school newsletter (sent out via Konnective).

Sometimes, teachers may send messages home using the Communication Folder (the waterproof file bags that junior school students use for library borrowing and readers), so it is important to check and clear these daily.

If you need to get a message to your child during school hours, these can be relayed via the school office. Unless the matter is urgent, your child will receive the message after Second Break.

If you'd like to have more say in our school's activities, funding and policies, a good way to do that is to get in touch with the Parents & Citizens Association, or attend a P&C Meeting yourself.
