We do not run a tuckshop at Cannon Hill State School, but we do run alternative meal options on some days.

Breakfast Club

On Tuesday and Thursday mornings during the school term, the School and P&C run a Breakfast Club from 8.15am in the Undercover area.

Breakfast Club provides a nutritious breakfast and catch-up opportunity for students, their families and school staff.

This program depends on the kindness of community volunteers - please email the P&C if you're able to help.

Kitchen Garden

Our Kitchen Garden program allows students to engage in growing vegetables and fruit, caring for chickens, and cooking meals in the same flexible learning kitchen that we use for Breakfast Club.

Our Kitchen Garden is an important learning space, rich with opportunities to access curriculum learning in an engaging, memorable way through our Reggio Emilia-inspired approach. Children learn to grow and enjoy vegetables and fruit that they might otherwise avoid, learning about slow food, sustainability and impact.

On special occasions, we fire up our community-built woodfired pizza oven, to convert our Kitchen Garden learning into some of the best pizzas you can imagine.

Alternative School Lunch Program

Our local store (Cannon Hill Friendly Grocer) runs an alternative school lunch program for our students, with orders placed on Thursdays for delivery on Fridays.

Phone orders may be placed by phoning the store directly on (07) 3399 7628. Order forms are available from the school office.
