Welcome to Cannon Hill State School where we have a long tradition of developing a love of learning in all our students.
I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which our school sits, and on which our students learn and grow. I pay my respects to the Yuggera & Turrbal people, Elders past, present and emerging, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Our students are respectful, safe and ready for learning. They thrive in class environments that develop their thinking, creativity and a shared sense of responsibility to each other, the environment and the community.
At Cannon Hill State School, we value our engaged and supportive community. Our P&C works closely with the school to support our students, their families and our staff, to assist in realising our goals. As a school community we are committed to providing opportunities for our families to feel connected to the school and share in a sense of belonging.
We are committed to our Prep students sharing in a strong start to their first year of schooling, and as such we have prioritised putting in place a very thorough and successful transition program to ensure that we have built strong connections with families and that our students are happy and ready to begin their learning journey at Cannon Hill State School.
We offer student enrolment to families who live in our school catchment. Local families are encouraged to use the links on our 'Enrolment' page to find out whether they are eligible to enrol students in our wonderful school.
