Students
in Years 4 – 6 at Cannon Hill are offered the opportunity to participate in the
1 to 1 Laptop Program.
As part of our 1 to 1 program, students have the ability to have immediate access to their own device, enhancing the development of student learning. Ready access to their device supports inquiry-based learning, researching and multimedia skills, data analysis, digital problem-solving, and manipulation of processes and devices. Students will be able to develop skills and behaviours which support individual or collaborative learning. They will also be able to work on individualised programs in reading and maths and can engage in technological and flexible ways with the Australian Curriculum. 1 to 1 Programs are supported by the Australian Curriculum as best practice for developing 21st Century skills to prepare students for the future in a world which is constantly growing and evolving.
Our 1 to 1 Laptop Program also supports Queensland Education department's Advancing Education action plan, with a focus on developing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) learning to prepare students to be future entrepreneurs, critical thinkers and innovators.
