Cannon Hill State School has been at the centre of the community it services from its opening in 1915 until the present day.

With a student body reflecting the rich cultural and socioeconomic diversity of the area, the school fosters a genuine village atmosphere, providing students and their families with the opportunity to build connection, understanding and mutual appreciation within their local community.

Parents and community members are invited to participate in the Cannon Hill State School Parents & Citizens Association. Membership of the P&C is open to parents of any student attending the school, school staff, and any adult who is interested in the school's welfare. It is not necessary to be an Australian citizen.

The P&C meets twice a term during the school year, to discuss various school-related matters including policy, planning, fundraising and community engagement. Our P&C members and a small army of parent volunteers make an enormous contribution to the resources available to our students, and we are very grateful for their support.

P&C meeting dates appear on our Events Calendar.
